A major milestone for energy infrastructure in northern Germany: Following an intensive review process, the State Authority for Mining, Energy and Geology has issued the statutory planning approval (Planfeststellungsbeschluss) for the ETL 179.200 “Bützfleth – Deinste” pipeline – a clear signal of supply security in turbulent times.
The approximately 18-kilometer pipeline will connect the onshore LNG terminal in Stade to the transmission network, enabling the onward transport of large energy volumes to the Northwestern European gas network. At the same time, the ETL 179.200 was designed with the future in mind from the outset and is already capable of transporting hydrogen.
As the general planner, we have been involved in the project since the regional planning phase and throughout its entire lifecycle, defining the technical and regulatory requirements for the upcoming implementation. We will continue to oversee the project during the construction and commissioning phases, as well as the restoration of all affected areas.
